The year is 1974 in Brighton, England. Europe has just chosen the song Waterloo as the final winner of the Eurovision Song Contest. This is the beginning of the ABBA legend, which in the following decades became one of the most successful pop groups in music history, selling around 400 million records. ABBA's greatest hits - Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! - are known to everyone today, and with their new album Voyage, the band is also setting the trends of tomorrow.
THE SHOW - A TRIBUTE TO ABBA revives the cult of the successful works of Björn, Benny, Agnetha and Frida in a unique show: With two singers who resemble their idols both outwardly and thanks to their incomparable voices; a musician from the ABBA band who himself was on stage with the four legendary Swedes for a long time; and a band called Waterloo, who turn back time for two hours back to the 1970's in iconic glitter costumes and platform shoes.
In all, a 14-piece orchestra led by conductor Matthew Freeman and an 11-piece band consisting of four singers and three backup singers, as well as legendary ex-ABBA musician Ulf Andersson on saxophone, will ensure an entertaining evening full of unforgettable ABBA moments.
